In 2015, after completing his DM in Medical Oncology from AIIMS New Delhi, Dr. Arvind Kumar returned to Patna, Bihar to serve the people of his home state. During his training at AIIMS, he observed that nearly 60–70% of cancer patients seeking treatment were from Bihar, highlighting the urgent need for advanced cancer care within the state.
Becoming the first DM-qualified Medical Oncologist to return to Bihar after completing super-specialty training, Dr. Arvind Kumar founded Cancer Care & Cure Public Charitable Trust and established Buddha Cancer Centre with a vision to make world-class cancer treatment accessible, affordable, and compassionate. Today, thousands of patients have benefited from the high-quality cancer care provided through the centre and the charitable trust.
The Vision Behind the Trust
During his super-specialisation in Medical Oncology, Dr. Kumar witnessed the hardship faced by patients travelling long distances for treatment. This inspired him to establish a dedicated cancer care centre in Bihar.
With unwavering commitment and dedication, the Cancer Care & Cure Public Charitable Trust was founded to provide compassionate care and innovative treatment solutions.
